April Snow

Just as we were celebrating the green grass and emerging flowers of spring, snow reminded us that winter is not done with us yet.

Of course, the yaks don’t mind a bit of snow. And the snow melts fast enough that they can still find all the sweet, young grass shoots they desire. And if the falling snow outpaces the melting for a few hours, they can still hit the hay pile.

But the goopy snows of spring do make for some soggy, muddy yaks. They’ll dry out and clean up a bit next week when warmer temperatures return.
