After keeping Makenzie and her new calf in the corral for a week, we let them join others in the herd.

I knew Makenzie was getting close to having her calf the night before.

After days of rain, we had a brief sun break. So I wandered down to the old orchard to visit the yaks. They were having a fine time in the mud.

Just as we were celebrating the green grass and emerging flowers of spring, snow reminded us that winter is not done with us yet.
